StrategySOS
Built on the Strategic Decision Model

Turn strategic thinking into decisions you can defend

Strategy is a decision about what to change.

StrategySOS gives leadership teams a structured way to see what's shaping their organization, decide what they can actually change, and connect that decision all the way to execution.

Building and scoring your strategy is free. AI assistance is part of a subscription.

Inside the Workbench

See the Workbench before you sign up

Three screens take you from a blank page to a scored strategy. These are screens from the real app.

1 · Set up

Tell it who you are. The library tailors itself.

Name your company, choose your industry and sub-industry, set the level and state your Desired Outcome. The library of Limitations and Parameters is filtered to your market.

The setup page: company name, industry cards, level and Desired Outcome, with a live summary of the setup
2 · Answer a few questions

Ten short questions, a starting set of Limitations.

The guided questionnaire shows what it has heard as you go, so you can change any answer, then hands back the conditions most likely to hold your outcome back.

3 · Work the four Drivers

Limitations and Parameters across every Driver.

Weight the four Drivers, tune each Limitation, then score every Parameter on Impact, Feasibility, Risk and Cost. The ranked selection on the right builds your strategy statement.

The idea
Strategy is an idea that employs the most relevant and effective parameters of change which, when brought into effect, can produce the desired outcome.

Every organization operates inside limitations — conditions and forces that shape what's realistically possible. The ones you can actually influence become Parameters of Change. StrategySOS is built to help you find them, weigh them, and decide which ones your strategy should rest on.

The SDM process

From conditions to a strategy you can defend

Four steps, worked through one level at a time — Corporate, Business, or any Function.

STEP 1
Look through four lenses
Internal Competencies, Market Opportunities, Stakeholder Interests and External Factors, so no important perspective is missed.
STEP 2
Name the conditions that matter
Limitations are the conditions that shape what your organization can realistically do — at the Corporate, Business or Functional level.
STEP 3
Find what you can change
Parameters of Change are the specific things you could do. Each is scored on Impact, Feasibility, Risk and Cost.
STEP 4
Choose, and state your strategy
The Parameters you select form your Strategic Direction, generated as a Strategy Statement you can edit and lock.
The strategy system

One connected chain, not a document that stands alone

A strategy can be well written and still fail if the organization can't connect it to the work that follows. StrategySOS keeps every level linked to the one above it.

Corporate strategy
Direction, portfolio choices, markets and the major bets the organization is making.
↓
Business strategy
Competitive positioning, customer value, and where the business chooses to compete.
↓
Functional strategy
What Marketing, Sales, Product, Finance, Operations and every other function must change to deliver it.
↓
Functional plans
The work, initiatives and dependencies that turn that change into something people can act on.

Along the way, the Alignment view checks that every Limitation traces up to the level above it, Monitoring Station tracks execution and OKRs, and the Assumption Registry and Risk Register keep watch on what could go wrong.

Intelligence

Don't just generate a strategy. Challenge it.

Put your strategy through an Agentic C-Suite review, compare it against an AI-maintained Strategy Twin, examine the competitive landscape, benchmark it, or stress-test it against alternative scenarios.

AI doesn't replace the strategic decision. It gives the decision more ways to be examined.

Agentic C-Suite — a Product Strategy executive's read of the strategy, with a biggest risk and a concrete recommendation
Planning

Every function has a plan, not just a strategy

A Functional Strategy becomes a Functional Plan — Marketing, Brand, Go-to-Market, Operations, Finance, Risk, Technology & Data, Sales, Product, People and more — each with its own structure, and each still connected to the strategy above it.

Planning Station — every Functional Plan a strategy can produce, from Product and Marketing to GTM, Brand and Operations
Leadership

Bring it back to the people who decide

The Executive Dashboard, Strategy Validation and Strategic Coherence bring the whole system into one place. Strategy is ultimately a leadership decision — the tool should make it easier to understand, challenge and communicate.
